Article IV - DAO Institutions, Other Rules and Guidelines

Can a court member choose to relinquish ones term before the completing 6 month term? I’m just assuming there might be instances where this would occur

I believe that should be an option specially if a certain situation requires it.

I hope we can get more information about the Jury candidates before the election start so we can research and know more about the candidates before we vote.

Hmm, makes me think. Should we have real names of the candidates? It’s good to know their background, but how do we avoid doxxing?

I agree. Their decisions will greatly affect the whole community right?

They should also take this into consideration since it is such a huuuuge responsibility.

It could be just one point in choosing members. But to fully rely on a knowledge test isn’t really good. Perhaps the team should come up with more criteria of joining jury or whatever team other than just holding sBreed.

Was thinking of the same thing  Maybe certain have risk mitigations in place to prevent doxxing? I just can’t think of any at the top of my head right now

Was it stated anywhere why the management decided that a member should at least have 5000 sBreed in order to participate in the DAO court elections as candidate? What is the benchmark for that figure?

Yes! Orientation is a vital part after choosing the right candidate. After all, we are talking about a huge responsibility here. We must make sure that they committed enough to fulfill their duties

To sum up, members should poses the following:

sBreed holder within a period of time.
Knowledgeable with the project
Possess a certain level of concern and enthusiasm to the DAO.

What else did I missed?

Time tracking comes naturally, I guess. Let’s say we can determine from the number of engagements. Plus, the quality of contributions for the DAOstitution. :+1:

This is good.

Stake for a certain number of time - can be checked
Knowledgeable - test
Concern and enthusiasm - interview with the BreederDAO team

This looks like a good foundation for electing candidates to the Jury

Doxxing is a really challenging problem to overcome. I am intrigued about how will they be able to manage it if the information of the candidate or Jury member.

That is correct. The last thing we want is an inexperienced “leader”.

That’s better! A more specific approach on how to address each criterion will do.

As for the knowledge test, I think there should be two parts. First part is from the community engagements and the second one is from the core team’s set of questions, not to be shared to the public, but rather included in their interview process. :+1:

filtering always has it’s advantages, it’s like sifting through the most qualified ones.

Exactly! In light of this, acting proactively and abiding to the rules and guidelines would be highly beneficial to the community and it’s members. right??

“Section 1. Participation. A person becomes eligible to participate in the DAO by possessing at least one (1) sBREED token.”

Does this mean that I, as a BREED token holder cannot participate if I don’t have my token staked? But I am allowed to converse in Discourse right?

I believe you should have at least staked for a certain period of time for you to be eligible.

And yes, I think everyone can express/share insights here as long as it is respectful.
