BDIP-3: Article III - Complaints and Petitions

If so, how would the DAO Court decide that complaint against its own member?

I would say yes if it’s just usernames. Real names are a different thing. :+1:

I think there will have a special court hearing when it comes to court/jury members’ cases.

I’ll say yes to usernames. :+1:

On a contrary, I think complaints lodged against a jury/court member should have equal treatment like other DAO members. We should not tolerate special treatments. Just saying.

I agree with you there. It’s unfair for the other members if there will be special treatments.

This article is actually quite helpful because we know that sometimes things don’t go as planned. It’s good to hear that there is a procedure in place for petitions now. Any issue that is brought will undoubtedly be addressed fairly.

Fair point! I do not want special treatments as well. :+1:

I am glad that there will be a channel to file disputes. I am pretty sure that things will be handled accordingly but I hope that usernames will suffice. Providing real names might be a bit tricky. However, it is not specified if real names are required.

Yes, I think it’s totally okay if it’s just a username. :facepunch:

I think real names are not necessary. As long as DAO members are verified by their connected wallets and staked sBREED, that will be good for me.

I agree. That would defeat the purpose of decentralization.

I agree on this. We are decentralized after all,. :+1:

i have to agree with the others! we’re in a crypto space, no need for real names

They would just need to think of a way to give sanctions to the party or person that is being reported effectively to provide without broadcasting their identity

That is easier said than done but I am sure they can find a way.

That’s exactly the point! Thank you for agreeing with me! :raised_hands:

Yes to this! No need for names. Username is fine.

I think there’s definitely a way.

About legal sanctions, are there any grounds that would lead to the banning of a DAO member? They haven’t discussed that yet. Or should that be included in a separate proposal? What do you guys think?
